Martin Luther King Jr. appeals to ethos by stating facts about how after hundreds of years "the negro still isn't free from segregation". He also mentions the Constitution . He appeals to pathos by making the fight for freedom clear to the audience. He draws emotion from the white and blacks by mentioning he wants his children to live in a nation where his kids wont be judged by their skin color. Im not to sure how he appeals to logos........:/

It seems like you have a lot of confusion about this. Your first example is really more of a logical argument: 100 years is a long time to wait, right? King also uses different analogies -- like "a bad check" -- to demonstrate their situation. You do identify one of the main emotional appeals, but when you're doing a rhetorical analysis, you need to do more than just identify a certain concept; you also need to explain why it would or would not be effective, given the intended audience.

    Keep at it. :)
